Senatorial candidate Camille Villar underscored the importance of cooperatives in uplifting communities during Sunday’s activities in Polilio, Quezon.
A millennial candidate, Villar vowed to continue working on projects and legislation that will generate jobs, and livelihood in the communities.
“Noong pa man,isinusulong ko na— mga batas na magtataguyod kabuhayan, magbibigay ng trabaho, magpapaabot ng pangarap na bahay para sa mga Filipino, ipagpapatuloy ko po yan,” she said during the general assembly of thebRHUDARDA Multi-Purpose Cooperative General Assembly in Polilio over the weekend.

“Ako po ang magiging bagong boses niyo sa senado at ng sa gayon tulad ninyo, sabay nating matugunan ang pangangailangan ng bawat pamilyang Filipino,” added Villar, who looks forward to continue the brand of public service started by her parents.
During her speech, she cited cooperatives’ major contributions to uplifting the economy and community development.
“Malaki ang kontribusyon ninyo sa economic empowerment at community development at talagang hindi matatawaran ang epekto nito sa buhay ng ating mga kababayan sa kanilang mga komunidad. Salamat po at kayo y mga tunay na partners in progress at malaki ang kontribusyon ninyo sa pag-unlad ng buhay ng ating mga kababayan,” she said.

The RHUDARDA Multi-Purpose Cooperative, led by its president Emely Azul, was recognized as the Most Outstanding Community Enterprise in the 2024 Villar SIPAG Awards.
