Camille Villar nagsalita na hinggil sa mga alegasyon ng ‘vote-buying’

Naglabas ng opisyal na pahayag si House Deputy Speaker/Las Piñas Lone District Representative at senatorial candidate na si Camille Villar hinggil sa show cause order na ipadadala sa kaniya ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) sa alegasyon ng vote-buying.

Sa ipinadalang mensahe sa media, sinabi ni Villar na aware daw siya hinggil sa show cause order ng Comelec laban sa kaniya, hinggil daw sa isang event na naganap sa Imus, Cavite. Wala pa raw siyang natatanggap na kopya ng nabanggit na show cause order.

Pangalawa, ang nabanggit daw na event na tinutukoy ay naganap noong Pebrero 9, 2025, kung kailan, hindi pa nagsisimula ang campaign period.

Pinabulaanan naman ni Villar ang mga akusasyon laban sa kaniya.

“I vehemently deny any allegation or insinuation of vote buying or commission of any election offense for that matter,” mababasa sa media release.

“And lastly, I am confident that the COMELEC will clear my name of these wrongful allegations upon hearing my side on the matter.”

Pinasalamatan naman ni Villar ang kaniyang supporters dahil sa patuloy nilang tiwala at suporta sa kaniya. Nananalig daw siyang dahil sa patuloy na suporta nila, magkakaroon daw ang Pilipinas ng “Bagong Boses” at “Bagong Bukas.”

Samantala, wala pang reaksiyon, tugon, o pahayag ang kampo ng Comelec hinggil sa opisyal na pahayag ni Villar.
