QUEZON PROVINCE — In a recent engagement with sectoral representatives, senatorial aspirant Camille Villar reaffirmed her commitment to the welfare of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), recognizing their significant contributions to the Philippine economy.

In her address, Villar cited her role in the 18th Congress where she supported the passage of Republic Act 11641, which created the Department of Migrant Workers—an agency dedicated to managing and safeguarding the rights of OFWs.

“I am ready to serve our modern-day heroes,” Villar said, as she pledged to prioritize legislation and programs that directly benefit OFWs and their families.

Beyond migrant welfare, Villar also underscored the need to boost agriculture and infrastructure to drive inclusive growth in the countryside.

“We must strike a balance between strengthening agriculture and accelerating infrastructure development to create lasting opportunities,” she said.
