Camille Villar vows to be a new voice in the Senate: ‘You can count on me’

INCOMING Senator Camille Villar expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Filipino people for electing her to the Senate, promising to be a strong and steady voice for every Filipino.

In a statement, Camille Villar admitted the road to the Senate was not an easy one, but she vowed to work harder in the service of the Filipino.

“Alam kong hindi naging madali ang daan, pero dahil sa tiwala ninyo, nagtagumpay tayo. Dala ko ngayon ang panibagong boses ninyo sa Senate at handa na pong maglingkod, tahimik

man o maingay ang laban, para sa bawat Pilipino. Walang iwanan,” she said in a Facebook post.

Camille Villar, who representing the millennials in the Senate, said the 90-day gruelling campaign allowed her to inform the public of her advocacies on housing, education, entrepreneurship, women empowerment, gender equality, job generation, among others.

“You can count on me to give my best to live up to the trust you’ve placed in me to serve as a senator,” she said.

Recognizing the support of her parents, former Senate President Manny Villar and Senator Cynthia Villar, vowed that she never disappoint the people.

“Thank you for your trust,” said Camille Villar, who ranked number 10 senator in the partial and unofficial results from the Comelec transparency server.
