NACIONALISTA Party chairman and former Senate President Manny Villar, along with congressional candidate, and outgoing Sen. Cynthia Villar, threw full support for their daughter, Camille, who is running for senator this coming May 12 polls.
Capping the 90-day campaign period, Camille Villar got the boost of support from her family and her fellow Las Piñeros.
“Si Camille, sa ano mang aspeto, hindi tayo mapapahiya dito. Nag congresswoman, Deputy Speaker kaagad. Sa talino, wala tayong masasabi. Sa mga nagawa, wala tayong masasabi. Sa pagandahan, lalong wala tayong masasabi,” Manny Villar said during the Miting de Avance on Friday at The Tent.
“Kaya talagang maipagmamalaki natin siya,” Manny Villar added.
Speaking before a crowd of more than 5,000 people at The Tent on Friday, Sen. Cynthia Villar outlined the long list of accomplishments of the Villars in Las Piñas, which included the 40-kilometer Riverdrive that reduced travel time from Las Piñas to Cavite and nearby cities.
Sen. Mark Villar was also present during the Miting de Avance.
For her part, Camille Villar thanked Las Piñeros for their support, admitting that 90-day campaign was tedious, often heartbreaking for her, as she faced attacks from political opponents.
“Hindi po naging madali ang eleksyon at kampanyang ito. Marami po tayong hinarap na paninira. Pag nakikita ko po kayo binibigyan nyo po ako ng lakas ng loob,” Camille Villar said.
Camille Villar credited her parents for teaching her the values of hardwork, perseverance, and the passion for public service.
Camille Villar vowed to focus on infrastructure projects, which she sees as a step for country’’s progress, along with the rest of her advocacies
