FORMER Senate president Manny Villar thanked Vice President Sara Duterte for supporting the candidacy of his daughter, senator-elect Camille Villar, in the recently concluded midterm elections.
Camille Villar, who was originally part of the administration-backed Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas, finished 10th in the senatorial race with 13,651,274 votes, according to the final tally of the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
“This is a kind of friendship that is not only personal but based on our shared dream of unity and prosperity for all,” said Manny Villar.
In a video post, Camille Villar also thanked the vice president for her endorsement.
“You were not only a political ally but also a true friend whom we can count on every step of the way,” she said.
